Files for Firmware Update. There are two kinds of compressed files for the firmware update according to your computer's operating system (Windows, Mac OS X). Canon PIXMA MG3600 WiFi Setup, IJ Setup, Instruction Manual and Scanner Software Driver Download, Wireless Setup For Mac, Windows, Linux – The Canon Wi-Fi enabled Series PIXMA MG3600 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Canon. Unfortunately I cannot confirm. My Sierra machine is at home and I'm on location with my El Capitan machine.
I installed and tested the EOS Utility through remote desktop sharing. П˜‰ I can test when I'm home in some days. If I forget it and you still need the answer, just remind me here by the end of the week please. Does anyone know whether this latest DPP version will work on a Mac with Sierra OS? Here's my dilemma. I need to put DPP on my late model Sierra OS MacBook Pro 15, so I can review my shot Raw images on location; I can't afford another iteration of my current Adobe CC Suite that includes Lightroom or Photoshop, and, as all my older owned copies of Lightroom or Photoshop are Windows only (and Adobe won't convert the OS version), I can't put anything from my Creative Suite 6 or earlier on the Mac. Because I've got the CC Suite already running on 2 big/fast Windows 10 desktops right now, where they do me the most good, I can't see another option other than DPP for my laptop. Anyone with experience on this?
Come on Canon, hurry up. Regards, David. JohnHoffman wrote: Yes, latest DPP will work with Sierra.
You can install your CC subscription on any computer. When you log on it will tell you you have two activations and you can deactivate one. Then, when you get back to that computer log on and activate it and deactivate the third one.
Or deactivate when you are finished working on third computer. John, thank you very much for the tip on the latest DPP being able to work with Sierra; Canon's USA website indicates that it won't, but, as you have direct experience, I believe your answer, and I'll try it anyway.

As to the deactivation/activation on the Adobe CC suite, yes, I do realize that I can do what you say, but I always thought that it would just be 'too much' to have to deal with that kind of 'back and forth' activity, and that it may eventually lead to some unwanted result at a time when I can least afford it - Occam's Razor and such. So, I think I'll go for the DPP option, as I don't plan to actually convert my raws on the laptop, just store and look at them on location, plus occasionally want to tether to the laptop as well. All in all, many thanks for your helpful reply. Regards, David. I contacted Canon CS and this is their response: Thank you for contacting Canon product support. I understand that you have questions about Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra updates for our EOS Utility. I can address this for you.
There is an update in the works, but it has not posted to our website yet. Please continue to check our page for posts in the near future. In the meantime you can use the latest available version with minor limitations. Hope they get it posted sooner than later. The limitations are not minor, IMO. Hi Guys, I stumbled upon this after my search for more info on OSX Sierra and Canon capture applications.
We are a developer of studio photography software and do a lot of work with Canon's software developers kit. We have had customers with success on OSX Sierra and some with no luck whatsoever (application crash at launch). From our understanding, this is a limitation in the current software developers kit from Canon (I would fully suspect they build their EOS utility using the same SDK's provided to developers). More specifically, it seems it will/will not work pending Canon camera model (and EOS utility version).
I was able to find this and hope it is helpful to you guys: We are trying to work with Canon Engineers to find out more info on this, I will be happy to relay any info I can back to this thread. Have a happy new year! Michael Atman. In following on from this original post. I am having some problems with the EOS utility and now what also seems to be my card reader not being even recognised? I used to be able to plug in my canon 7D to my (early 2011) MacBook pro or just my card reader and move the images from either on to a file on my desktop also i was able to use the live view etc. Now i am unable to use both.
Both the 7D and card reader function fine on other PC systems and show up/ are recognised soon as plugged in. This all started after I updated from el capitan to sierra 10.12.5. I have basically done every thing I can at this point to try and figure out as to why this is happening and luckily i found this post. Can any one help? Regards - Joel.
